Meet the people behind the judging of the 2026 Art Prize! 👋🎨

We’re excited to introduce this year’s judges, Jack Collard, Andrew Nicholls and Fi Wilkie Art , bringing a wealth of experience, fresh perspectives and plenty of passion for the arts.

They’ll be looking at more than just technical skill, considering what makes each work stand out, the ideas behind it, and how it connects with an audience.

We can’t wait to welcome them to Kalgoorlie-Boulder and see what they make of this year’s entries!

Kalgoorlie-born naval veteran Ken Needham has generously donated his personal collection of naval uniforms, photographs and historical documents to the Goldfields War Museum.

Spanning more than two decades of service, including during the Vietnam War, Ken’s collection offers a unique insight into his life serving Australia at home and overseas.

The collection was formally handed over at Boulder Town Hall today, on the eve of Vietnam Veterans’ Day, with Deputy Mayor Terrence Winner joining Ken, his family, friends and invited guests to recognise his service and generosity.

We thank Ken for entrusting this important collection to our community and helping ensure his story, and the stories of those who served alongside him, can be remembered for generations to come.
