The "Big Freeze" event at Latrobe High is a fantastic initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for Fight MND (Motor Neurone Disease), a cause that touches many lives. Inspired by the famous annual "Big Freeze" at the MCG in Australia, where participants bravely take a plunge into icy water to support MND research, the Latrobe High edition seeks to engage students, staff, and the community in this spirited challenge. By participating, individuals not only demonstrate their courage but also their solidarity with those affected by this debilitating disease. Events like these are crucial for funding vital research that could one day lead to a cure, while also fostering a sense of community and shared purpose amongst participants. Whether you're taking the plunge or cheering from the sidelines, every effort counts in the fight against MND.

Thank you to those who braved the rain and joined us for our Reconciliation Breakfast yesterday morning. The egg and bacon rolls were a hit, but more importantly, the event provided an opportunity to come together as students, staff, families and community members to reflect on the importance of reconciliation, strengthen connections, and continue learning from our shared histories and cultures. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and helped make it such a positive start to the day. 🖤❤

School Association Annual General Meeting – 16 June 2026

Latrobe High School will hold a second School Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 16 June 2026 at 6:00pm. Unfortunately, at our previous AGM we were unable to form a School Association due to an insufficient number of parent representatives.

The School Association plays an important role in supporting our school and providing a voice for our community. We encourage parents and carers who are interested in contributing to the future direction of Latrobe High School to consider nominating.
If you would like to nominate for the School Association or would like further information about the role, please contact the school office on 6426 1061.

We look forward to welcoming new members and strengthening our partnership with the school community.
