💙 Active Ageing Grants Round 2 now open! 💙

Do you have an idea to help older people in Northern NSW stay active, connected and independent?

Together with Healthy North Coast we are offering grants of between $5,000 and $30,000 for community-led physical activity programs that support healthy ageing and social connection.

The following organisations are encouraged to apply:
✅ community organisations
✅ sporting clubs
✅ councils
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations
✅ sole traders
✅ small businesses.

Priority will be given to programs that support older people facing barriers such as cost, transport, low confidence or limited opportunities to participate.

📅 Online industry briefing: 16 September 2026, 3.30pm

Many women are surprised to learn they can now collect their own cervical screening sample. 💜

Roslyn is our Women’s Health Clinical Nurse Consultant for the Tweed–Byron region, providing free support for women and girls on a wide range of health issues, from puberty and periods to menopause and pelvic health.

With more than 20 years’ experience in women’s health, Roslyn is passionate about helping women access reliable information and feel confident making decisions about their health.

One message she is particularly keen to share is that cervical screening has changed.

“Cervical screening can now be done using a self-collected sample, and it’s just as accurate. It’s important that women and people with a cervix know this option is available," Roslyn said.

This Women's Health Week (7 to 11 September), remember that free, confidential support is available close to home.
