Maclean District Business Chamber

Maclean District Business Chamber We bring together our business community and advocate for a prosperous Maclean and surrounds.

We provide networking and education as well as facilititate town events and lobby all branches of govt for the outcomes that impact all Maclean Residents The Maclean Chamber of Commerce plays a key role in assisting the local business community to resolve regional development issues, through economic lobbying and representation. We are an organisation of Business Leaders who work to improve their

community and the area's business climate. The Chamber is administered by a board of management that meets monthly to discuss issues that affect the business community and to develop strategies to best contribute to the economic growth of our Town. The effectiveness of the Chamber is entirely reliant on the member support and involvement. We pride ourselves on providing progressive professional and business development opportunities, representation and regular functions in which business people can communicate with each other and with local, state and federal authorities on matters of interest or concern related to business activities and we unashamedly promote Maclean business, acting primarily on behalf of our members. The Key Objectives of the Maclean Chamber of Commerce are:

-To represent and lobby on behalf of the business community, and to encourage goodwill and foster communication and interaction within the business and wider communities,

-To provide access to regular business networking events from various organisations, giving members the opportunities throughout the year to connect with hundreds of various business representatives to exchange ideas and promote their business,

-Provide members with the opportunity to introduce their business to the Chamber membership base. The Maclean Chamber of Commerce recognises the importance of growth for our area but is forever mindful of the importance of promoting our town’s unique points of difference.

Business Tip

Your website might be costing you customers without you even realising it.

Take 15 minutes this week to:
• Remove outdated information
• Check all links still work
• Update business hours and contact details
• Make sure your services and pricing are current
• Remove old events, pop ups or promotions
• Test your website on your phone

A clean, easy-to-use website builds trust fast. If customers can’t quickly work out who you are, what you do or how to contact you, they’ll usually move on.

Simple and clear always wins.
