All year round, members of our Brigade are committed to training, developing their skills and upskilling to ensure they are ready to respond when our community needs them.
This weekend, two of our Merimbula Brigade members, Rod and Brian, successfully completed their Structural Firefighting Assessment at the Eurobodalla Hot Fire Training Centre. 🔥👏
A fantastic achievement and a reflection of the dedication and hard work they put into their training.

Today is Thank a First Responder Day, we would like say a big thank-you to all the dedicated people who serve our communities in times of need. From police, fire, ambulance, SES and marine rescue personnel to the more than 70,000 RFS members across Australia, we thank you—and the families who support you—for your commitment, sacrifice and service.

🎺🚒 Jazz, Community and a touch of history!
The Merimbula Rural Fire Brigade was proud to once again be part of the Merimbula Jazz Festival celebrations. Our iconic 100-year-old Garford Pumper rolled through the procession, bringing a treasured piece of Merimbula's history to life and delighting festival-goers along the way.
Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support of our brigade and volunteers. It's always a privilege to be part of this much-loved local tradition.

💐 Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible mums, grandmothers, and mother figures in our communities — especially our dedicated NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers.
Today we celebrate the women who not only care for their families, but also step forward to protect and support others when their communities need them most. From responding to fires and emergencies, to training, fundraising, and supporting brigade life — your strength, compassion, and commitment never go unnoticed.
