Causeway replacement work at causeway 4 will begin on Monday 1 June and is expected to be completed by the end of June.

There will be short delays under traffic control while work takes place.

After the causeway replacement is complete, we will repair the gravel road on Huonbrook Road past causeway 4. This repair was on hold until we secured funding to complete the causeway work.

🌊Big swells over the past week have caused significant dune erosion across parts of our Shire, with New Brighton and Suffolk Park beaches the most impacted.

Some beach access paths have been damaged, and warning signs are now in place. Please take extra care when accessing the beach.

🛞Council crews are also removing old car tyres that have been washed out of the dunes at Suffolk Park.

These pose an environmental risk, and we appreciate the community’s support in reporting them via Council's website.
