On the last day of the recent school holidays, four members of the student leadership team, were invited to join Lions member, Ted Watts on 101.7FM community radio.
During the hour-long interview, the team shared their experiences as Foundation students, spoke enthusiastically about the upcoming opening of the new buildings, and reflected on their goals, aspirations and hopes for the future. They also expressed their gratitude for the valuable support and opportunities that community organisations such as Lions and Rotary provide to the school.
They discussed their participation in recent Rotary events, the RYPEN Camp and the Four-Way Test speech competition, highlighting the valuable opportunities these experiences have provided for their personal growth and development. They were also appreciative of the Lions club of Harrisdale/Piara Waters and their support of the school by making 250 pancakes on the morning of RUOK day.
The team spoke with confidence, enthusiasm and maturity. We appreciate their efforts and thank their parents for transporting them to the radio station on a Sunday morning.
The team exemplify the positive culture within the Piara Waters student body and we appreciate their efforts and commitment to the student leadership team.
