The Port Augusta Swimming Pool has been renamed the Ryan Mitchell Swim Centre in recognition of Port Augusta's first Olympic swimming representative. He went on to represent Australia in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and won silver in the 4x100m medley relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Important notice for members
We’ve identified an issue where some members were incorrectly debited for swimming lessons or activities that did not run during the season.

Our team is currently working through this and will be in touch with all affected members next week with an update on the reversal of these payments.

We’re looking for friendly and reliable Gate Attendants to work Saturdays only at Central Oval during the 2026 season.

🕗 When:
✅ Saturdays between 8:00am – 4:00pm
✅ May – September 2026

👋 What you’ll do:
• Welcome visitors and provide great customer service
• Assist with gate entry and fee collection
• Balance takings at the end of each shift
• Follow WHS procedures and report any issues

🎓 Training provided before your first shift
🛡️ Security staff onsite to es**rt at start and end of day
👍 Perfect for students, retirees, or anyone wanting reliable Saturday work!
