*** DESIGN-O-SAURS ***

Our Early Years students put their engineering skills to the test today as they worked collaboratively on a Brick Challenge using the Engineering Design Process!

Working in teams, students planned, created, tested, and refined their designs to build a dinosaur that met the criteria and constraints of the challenge. Through teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance, students demonstrated fantastic communication and critical thinking skills while bringing their dinosaur creations to life.

What an exciting way to explore Design and Technologies through hands-on learning! πŸ¦•πŸ§±

*** TREAD TOGETHER ***

We are excited to share the beginning of our **TREAD Together Project**! Today, students began painting the first tyres that will become part of a large-scale art installation in our school garden.

This project symbolises families, school and community *treading together* on the educational journey, while also promoting sustainability through the creative repurposing of tyres. Aboriginal perspectives and connections to community will be woven throughout the installation, making it a meaningful space for storytelling, belonging and collaboration.

This will be a long-term community project, with opportunities for families and community members to become involved along the way. We look forward to sharing updates as the project grows and comes to life! πŸŽ¨πŸŒ±πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

*** DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY ***

Our Early Years students in Rooms 19, 18 and 12 have been busy designing and creating shelters using natural materials, inspired by traditional Aboriginal shelters. 🌿πŸͺ΅

Students have explored how First Nations Peoples used the environment sustainably to build safe and practical shelters, while also developing their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The most successful design from across the three classes will be selected to be recreated as a large shelter in our Bush Tucker Garden β€” an exciting project for our whole school community to enjoy! πŸƒ
