🌀️ Coffin Bay in 360Β° β€” simply breathtaking! πŸŒŠπŸ“Έ

Lifted off from the Coffin Bay boat ramp this weekend to capture a new 360Β° photo looking down the channel β€” we’re so lucky to have this incredible spot right on Port Lincoln’s doorstep. Tap to open and take a look around.

Here supporting local business β€” grab a coffee, say g’day, and enjoy what makes Coffin Bay so special β˜•πŸ’›

πŸ›©οΈ Drone Flight Checks:
βœ… Checked the OK to Fly app β€” local airfield caution noted
βœ… Monitoring for nearby light aircraft (many aren’t tracked)
βœ… Maintaining visual line of sight
βœ… Flying at 105 m for the best 360Β° perspective

Coffin Bay is also a known osprey breeding area, with an active nest located on the oyster lease as you enter the township. In line with responsible drone operation and to avoid disturbing local wildlife, I consider this a no-fly zone. πŸ¦… Respecting these protected species ensures they continue to thrive along our beautiful coastline.

πŸ‘‰ Watch my page over the weekend for more stunning drone photos from around Coffin Bay.

πŸ“Έ Must be the day for 360Β° photos!

With the weather this good, I couldn't resist a quick stop at the Port Lincoln Golf Club.

Before take-off, I checked the OK2Fly app for hazards.

From 105 metres above the centre of the course, the drone captures 25 photos and stitches them together to create this interactive 360Β° image. β›³πŸŒΏ

πŸ€” Should I fly or shouldn’t I fly?
That was the question around lunchtime today!

After a quick drive around town trying to decide whether to head north or south, I eventually found myself at Oasis, just north of Port Lincoln. For the locals, you'll know the spot. 😊

Before taking off, I checked the OK2Fly app as the area is close to an aircraft approach path, had a look at Flight Tracker, and listened carefully for any incoming aircraft β€” all clear. βœ…

The result? A stunning 360Β° panorama along the Lincoln Highway.

Sometimes the hardest part is deciding where to go! πŸ“ΈπŸŒŠ

🌟 A celestial show over Port Lincoln tonight! Tap to open πŸ“·

The brighter object below is Venus, sitting around 42 million kilometres from Earth, while Jupiter shines above at an incredible 930 million kilometres away.

For those looking for them, they are in the northern sky. 🌌✨

Not a bad result from a Samsung S26+ mobile phone pointed at the night sky! πŸ“±πŸ”

A quick chat with a mate who was at Fishery Bay Surfing Reserve πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ pointed me towards Left Point... and it didn't disappoint! 😍

Captured an immersive 360° image 🌎 and a few stills along the way.

A Rainbow Lorikeet enjoying the seeds from one of our palm trees.

Plenty of colour and character packed into one little bird.

Tap to open and take a look around β€” the Eyre Peninsula is a sea of green at the moment as winter settles in. 🌿

Make the most of it while the sunshine is out and before the next lot of rain arrives! 😊

⏰ The body clock said otherwise... but the 5:00am wake-up call was worth it!

A very cold start to the day, but worth every minute. The Eyre Peninsula slowly began to reveal its colours before the sun finally broke the horizon around 7:30am. πŸŒ…

There's something special about being out before most people are awake, watching the landscape transition from darkness to daylight.

Sometimes the cold mornings produce the best rewards.
