📣 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – 𝐖𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧

The Northern Eyre Peninsula Health Alliance (NEPHA) is inviting community members to come together for two upcoming Community Conversation evenings in Wudinna and Elliston.

Following the 2025 community healthcare consultation, these events are an opportunity to hear what was learned, the progress made, and how your feedback is helping shape the future of healthcare across our region.

You’ll also hear from guest speakers, meet NEPHA’s new Regional Coordinator, and have the opportunity to continue the conversation about local healthcare.

The Heavy Industry Multi-Skills (HIMS) Program gives participants the skills required to commence entry-level positions in the mining and construction industries.
Congratulations to the first round of graduates!

🎓 Celebrating 15 weeks of commitment, growth and achievement!

Today, SkillUp SA was proud to celebrate the graduation of 13x HIMS participants following fifteen weeks of learning, practical skill development and preparation for future employment opportunities.

Throughout the program, participants demonstrated determination, resilience and a genuine commitment to building their confidence and capability. It was wonderful to recognise how far each person has come and celebrate this important milestone together.

This project was made possible through the combined efforts of SkillUp SA, Regional Development Australia, Career Employment Group and TAFE SA; demonstrating what can be achieved when organisations work together to create meaningful training and employment pathways for local people.

Congratulations to every graduate. We are incredibly proud of your achievement and excited to see where your new skills take you next! 👏

Following the first positive detection of H5 bird flu in Port Lincoln, everyone is urged to remain alert and report any sick or dead birds and wildlife showing signs of the disease.

Signs of bird flu may include:
• Multiple sick or dead birds in one location
• Weakness or inability to stand or fly
• Abnormal behaviour or neurological signs
• Swelling or discolouration
• Difficulty breathing

⚠️ If you see sick or dead birds or wildlife:
❌ Do not touch them.
🚫 Avoid contact.
📍 Record the location and what you observe.
