There’s still time to submit your Sport and Recreation grant application.

The City of Port Lincoln invites applications for its Sport and Recreation grants through the Community Grant Funding Program.

The Sport and Recreation Grant program supports local sport and recreation initiatives that foster grassroots activation, participation and sustainability. Community groups can apply for grants of up to $5,000 until midday on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, for initiatives being undertaken within the 2026-27 financial year.

Sections of the Jetty and Swimming Enclosure will be temporarily opened as closed as required throughout the works.

Until the gangways can be fully reopened, please continue to observe safety directions in place.

Did you know nearly 1 in 10 Australians over 50 have osteoporosis? 🦴

The South Australian Medical Imaging Bone Density Service is visiting Port Lincoln from 14 September - 2 October! They will be providing bone density scans free of charge, for those with Medicare and a referral.

You can:
1️⃣ Speak to your GP to get a referral
2️⃣ Call (08) 7074 5400 to book an appointment
3️⃣ Come see the team! Remember to bring your Medicare card, written referral and any concession cards.

We encourage community members to take advantage of this opportunity to check in on your bone health, and we thank SA Health for providing this valuable service to Port Lincoln.

🏅 Calling All Sporting Clubs & Community Organisations! 🏅

The City of Port Lincoln is inviting local sporting clubs and community organisations to be part of the Growing for Gold School Holiday Program during the 2026 Term 3 (September/October) school holidays.

This program gives your club an opportunity to showcase your sport to potential new participants aged 3 to 16 years! As well as:
✅ Promoting junior programs and membership opportunities
✅ Increasing community awareness and engagement
✅ Receiving a $250 club participation contribution through the City of Port Lincoln's Connected & Active Communities Program

We are very excited to host this program, as one of only two regional locations selected to pilot the State Government initiative. Get involved to grow participation and help local kids discover their next favourite sport! 💛

The Sport and Recreation Grant program supports local sport and recreation initiatives that foster grassroots activation, participation and club sustainability.

Community groups can apply for grants of up to $5,000 now until midday on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, for initiatives being undertaken within the 2026-27 financial year.

The Quick Response Program is also open for applications, allowing community organisations to apply for funding of up to $1,000 for small scale events, activities and programs that support our community.

Save the Date! Living and Ageing Well Expo 2026

The City of Port Lincoln is excited to announce the return of the Living and Ageing Well Expo on Thursday 1 October 2026 at the Nautilus Arts Centre.

This year’s theme is Building Age-Friendly, Connected Communities, celebrating the importance of creating a community where people of all ages feel supported, included and connected.

The Expo brings together local not-for-profit service providers, government agencies and community groups to showcase the services, programs and opportunities available to help people live well and age well in our community.

Come along, connect with local organisations, gather information and discover what’s available across Port Lincoln and surrounding communities.

Works will continue on the Town Jetty next week. We look forward to reopening sections of the jetty and swimming enclosure as soon as possible.

Please continue to observe signage in place and follow safety directions. We thank the community for their patience.

The Port Lincoln Town Jetty and Swimming Enclosure, including a 50 metre water exclusion zone, will be temporarily closed for gangway support installation works from 10am Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August.

These works will involve modifications to the two Swimming Enclosure Gangways connecting the top of the jetty to the floating pontoons, to provide additional structural support to the gangways.

It is not safe to use the swimming enclosure or access the jetty during the closure. Please follow all safety directions in place and do not enter the exclusion zone while our contractors undertake these works.

Tenders are closing soon for the City of Port Lincoln’s 2026-27, 2027-28 and 2028-29 Road Reseal Program.

This program includes asphalt resurfacing and associated works in 2026-2027, and spray seal resurfacing and associated works in 2027-2028 and 2028-2029.
