🤸 150 gymnasts will leap into action at Victoria Park this weekend for the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐐 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬.

Council is proud to support the event with a $6,272 sponsorship through the Community Assistance Program.

📣 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 - 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Over the past few days, multiple firefighting operations across Mount Morgan have drawn heavily on the town’s water reserves.

While there is currently no threat to the town’s water supply, we’re calling on the community to limit non-essential water use to help replenish local reserves.

You can help by:
💧 Postponing lawn and garden watering where possible
💧 Avoiding washing vehicles, driveways and outdoor hard surfaces
💧 Keeping showers shorter
💧 Running dishwashers and washing machines only with full loads
💧 Being mindful of water use throughout the home

We sincerely thank you for your understanding and we will provide an update once levels have returned to normal.

We also acknowledge and thank emergency services personnel who have worked tirelessly to protect lives and property during firefighting operations earlier this week.

𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞

Between 7am and 4pm on Saturday, 15 August, there will be changed traffic conditions on Albert Street and Cambridge Street.

The works involve removing the existing asphalt surface and applying a preliminary bituminous seal in preparation for the final asphalt layer.

🔹 There will be no access to Canning Street from Albert Street or to Albert Street from Canning Street, and the intersection of Canning Street and Cambridge Street will be temporarily closed.
🔹 The closure will impact the U-turn to access Bethesda Aged Care, with traffic control to assist with access.
🔹 Access to Canning Street from North Street will remain unchanged.

Detours and traffic management will be in place to guide motorists around the work area, with traffic controllers on site to assist residents, visitors and staff as required.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and understanding as we progress towards the final stages of the Canning Street project.

A fire is burning near Boulder Creek Road. It is moving towards Racecourse Road.

✈️🏥 Council is continuing its support for rural healthcare by waiving more than $180,000 in landing fees for the Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section over the past 12 months.

Council has proudly supported the vital service for many years, waiving more than $1.7 million in landing fees since 2007.
