Northlakes Public School This is the official Northlakes Public School page. These varied activities foster the all round development of students attending the school.

Northlakes Public School serves a community which supports their children in academic, sporting and performing arts activities. The school focuses on a positive environment in which the endeavours of staff and parents are relevant to the needs of students. The curriculum is implemented from six key learning area documents using Department of Education, Board of Studies and school based resources,

to provide learning experiences which utilise pupil-centred teaching and learning strategies. Page Policy

AUTHOR VISIT - JADE GOODWIN

Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students were so excited to meet the incredibly talented and creative illustrator, Jade Goodwin!

Our students loved exploring Jade’s beautiful illustrations and learning about the different techniques she uses to create her artwork. Jade taught us how to draw a crocodile and inspired us to use our imaginations by transforming simple scribbles into amazing works of art!

We also played a fun game of True or False to learn more about Jade, before enjoying a reading of her wonderful new book, Goorramindi the Crocodile.

We are incredibly grateful to Jade for sharing her time, enthusiasm and passion for illustration with our students. It was a wonderful and inspiring visit!

FATHER'S DAY STALL

Our Father's Day Stall will be held on Tuesday 1 September 2026. Students will have the opportunity to choose a special gift for their dad, grandad, or another special person.

Gifts available: $5 gifts & $10 gifts

How to purchase:

- Flexischools: Vouchers can be purchased through the Flexischools App until 5:00pm Monday 31 August 2026.
- On the day: Cash and EFTPOS will also be accepted at the stall.

We look forward to helping our students choose a special gift to celebrate the wonderful fathers and special people in their lives!

We are so excited to welcome our Kindy families for 2027 to Northlakes Public School!

As we head towards the end of our Kindy Start transition program for Term 4, we’re looking forward to sharing our final transition sessions with our newest little learners.

And what better way to celebrate their Kindy Start journey than with a very special Teddy Bear’s Picnic Graduation!

NSW PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE

The NSW Premier's Reading Challenge is closing soon for 2026. Student entries must be submitted online via the NSW PRC Website by Friday September 18th.

The Premier's Reading Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely. Students in K-2 must have experienced 30 books and 3-6 students must have read 20 this year.

Miss Borg will be hosting a parent / carer information session this Thursday (27th August) in the library at 2:40pm if you need more information or help logging student entries.
