An Important Update From Serpentarium Wildlife Park ๐Ÿโค๏ธ

Hello to all our Serpentarium supporters, our beautiful community of St Helens, and our friends across Tasmania. โค๏ธ

Over the years, Serpentarium Wildlife Park Tasmania, has grown into more than just an indoor reptile exhibit. It has become a place where children conquer fears, families learn together, where beautiful connections are formed between people and wildlife.

Every snake, tortoise, and lizard in our care is part of our family. Behind the scenes there is daily feeding, cleaning, heating, lighting, veterinary care, and constant attention to ensure they live healthy, enriched lives.

Serpentarium is not just a reptile park. It is a safe haven for our communities children, our young volunteers, and our homeschool families... to experience reptiles in a safe and family friendly environment and learn to appreciate nature. It is a place where visitors often arrive as strangers and leave as family friends.

With rising costs and maintaining sustainable operations in caring for our animals we will be updating our policies and procedures moving towards 2027.

Serpentarium well have a new pricing structure from October 1, 2026.

Reptile interactions will still be included with our daily keeper presentation at 12PM noon.

For visitors who would love a more personalise interaction, a one-on-one encounter with our beautiful reptiles, this will now be offered as an optional add-on to the entry fee. A Single Encounter Ticket or Family Encounter Ticket can be purchased at check-in.

These pricing adjustments allows us to continue caring for our animals, to industry best practice to the highest standard, while keeping the Serpentarium a special place for everyone.

The Serpentarium collection of animals is only small; itโ€™s a specialised and secure facility, which allows us to share our animals with you, and demonstrate the connection that we have with our animals.

We loved them and they received absolute enrichment in the personalised care and attention that they received.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, and your continued support. And we look forward to sharing our family again with soon!

Warmest regards,
The Serpentarium Family ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿฆ˜๐Ÿ’— DID YOU KNOW? ITโ€™S JOEY SEASON!

This time of year, you may start noticing those tiny pinkish or brownish faces popping out of Mumโ€™s pouch! ๐Ÿฅน

A joey may look curious and ready to explore, but even when its little head is sticking out, it is still very dependent on Mum. The pouch is its safe place to feed, rest and continue developing.

๐ŸŒฟ A little reminder from us at Serpentarium:

Youโ€™re welcome to feed the mummas when we offer feeding opportunities, but please never try to grab, pull out or handle a joey from the pouch. โค๏ธ

Handling or disturbing a joey can stress both Mum and bub, and Mum may become frightened or defensive.

The best way to enjoy these beautiful little babies is to let them come out on their own terms. ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐Ÿฆ˜ Feed Mum. Watch bub. Give them space.
Thatโ€™s how we help keep wildlife happy, healthy and comfortable. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿšจ A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT TASMANIAN BIOSECURITY ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ

As cute and cheeky as these little frogs are, itโ€™s VERY important that we do not bring exotic reptiles or amphibians into Tasmania. ๐Ÿšซ

Tasmania has extremely strict biosecurity laws to protect our unique environment, wildlife, agriculture and ecosystems. Reptiles and amphibians cannot simply be brought into Tasmania as pets, and approved wildlife imports require the appropriate permissions and permits. (Natural Resources Tasmaniaโ ๏ฟผ)

These adorable little green tree frogs were confiscated by Biosecurity Tasmania after arriving as stowaways. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ˜‚

They may look harmless and cute, but introduced animals can potentially carry diseases or have serious impacts on Tasmaniaโ€™s unique ecosystem. Tasmania has previously experienced disease risks associated with introduced frogs.

So please remember: DO NOT bring reptiles, frogs or other restricted animals into Tasmania without first checking the rules and obtaining the required approvals. โค๏ธ

Help us protect our beautiful island and the wildlife that belongs here. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ

Cute little stowaways, but definitely NOT legal Tasmanian passengers! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™ll see you again soon, big girl! ๐Ÿ

We truly appreciate every single one of you who made the trip, supported us, and shared this special experience with Mickey.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’š
