Are you looking for something to do in your spare time?

Why not volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) and become part of a team that helps communities when they need it the most.

* Free nationally recognised training provided- learn valuable skills that last a lifetime.
* Build lifelong friendships- be part of a supportive team
* Learn essential emergency skills, be ready when it matters
* Make a real impact in your community
* Work alongside other emergency services

We are looking for volunteers aged 16+ for a variety of roles including
* Flood rescues
* Storm response
* Community engagement & more

Our training nights are every Wednesday from 5.45pm & some weekends.
We are located at 188 Camden street Ulladulla.

NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is looking for a passionate and community-focused Local Commander to lead and support volunteers in the Shoalhaven area.

As the lead agency for flood, storm, and tsunami response, NSW SES relies on dedicated volunteers who step up when their community needs them most. In this key leadership role, you’ll work with local stakeholders, guide Unit Commanders, and help shape the direction of emergency management across your region.

🌞Enjoy the sunshine today, as the rain is expected to return, ducks will be happy😀

With the potential for rains to increase over the next few days, now is a good time to check those gutters.

Currently there are no warnings for the local area.

Ulladulla received 26mm of rain up until 9am this morning, Lake Conjola has been opened by Shoalhaven City Council.

Weather conditions are unpredictable and conditions can change quickly, so keep up to date with what's happening in your area, by downloading the Hazards Near Me App, also check www.bom.gov.au

Sand and sandbags are available for self-help and are located at the Telstra tower at Lake Conjola or beach st carpark at Lake Tabourie, if you are in the Ulladulla area you can call 132500

Always drive to the conditions, never enter flood water!

Heads Up, a wet week ahead!

In Preparation for this week, showers are expected to be heavy at times, from Tues through to Friday.

Sand and sandbags are available and located at the Telstra Tower at Lake Conjola & also the beach st carpark at Lake Tabourie, if you are in the Ulladulla area you can request by calling your local unit on 132500.

Shoalhaven City Council have commenced the opening of the lake to assist with rising water levels.

If you require emergency SES assistance, call 132500, or if its life-threatening call 000

Wear Orange Wednesday is a day to recognise and thank the NSW SES volunteers who give their time to support communities across the state.

Here are a few ways you can show your support this WOW DAY

🧡Encourage a workplace, school or community group to join in
🧡Host a morning tea
🧡Say thank you to SES Volunteers who help keep communities safe
🧡Let us know what you will be doing to show your support

This Wednesday the 20th of May members of the Ulladulla SES will be at Bunnings, between 10am-2pm and Woolworths throughout the day.

On Wednesday the 20th of May, communities are encouraged to wear something Orange to show their appreciation to the NSW SES Volunteers, it is a day to say thank you to all the volunteers.

NSW SES volunteers assist their communities in Emergencies during Floods & Storms.
