If you’ve passed by the Levee Rehabilitation Project lately, you may have noticed the upgraded structure starting to take shape 👀

With the first 60 metres of new pile wall installed and key structural works continuing across the site, including UC piles, precast panels and capping beam works, this is a major milestone.

Over the coming weeks you’ll see rock revetment works begin, followed by retaining wall and footpath upgrades along the levee crest.

These important works form part of Council’s long-term flood mitigation strategy and will help protect homes, farms, businesses and community infrastructure into the future.

Delivered with support from the National Flood Mitigation Infrastructure Program and the NSW Government.

Thanks to everyone for your continued patience and support while works progress.

VANDALISM IMPACTS OUR COMMUNITY

Council is concerned by a recent increase in vandalism at the Carter Oval Carter Oval Youth Sports Precinct Amenities Block, with four separate incidents occurring in the past three weeks.

These facilities were built for our community to enjoy and support local sport and recreation. Unfortunately, repeated acts of vandalism mean valuable Council resources and ratepayer funds must be redirected from other projects and services to undertake repairs.

Council reports all vandalism to NSW Police for their investigation and appropriate action.

We encourage everyone to respect public facilities, take pride in our shared spaces and work together to protect the facilities that support community life across Warren Shire.

If you witness vandalism or anti-social behaviour, please report it to NSW Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or online https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/

For crimes in progress, call OOO (triple zero) immediately.

To report damage to public toilets, sports facilities or community spaces, call Council on 02 6847 6600 or lodge online via our online request for service system https://wkf.ms/4doYUIY

Let's work together to keep the facilities that bring our community together safe, welcoming and accessible for everyone.
