Term 4 Learn to Swim and Squad bookings are officially open at Yamba Community Pool, and spots for our upcoming school holiday intensives are filling fast!

Term 4 officially commences on Tuesday, 13 October. A friendly reminder that automatic re-enrolment does not occur, so make sure to log in and confirm your spot before classes fill up.

• Holiday Intensives: Places are strictly limited and filling quickly, lock in your child’s spot to build confidence and skills before summer.

• Returning Swimmers: Head straight to the Client Portal to select your day, time, and level.

• New Swimmers: Please email [email protected] to arrange a quick swimmer assessment prior to booking.

Aqua Fitness started this week at Yamba Community Pool, sound off in the comments if you were you there?

It was great to see everyone diving into the week active in the water! If you missed this morning’s session or are ready for your next workout, come and join us again this Friday. Our 45-minute sessions provide an energising, low-impact full-body workout in our 25-metre heated outdoor pool, sitting at a comfortable average of 26°C.

Our regular Aqua Fitness classes are back on the timetable every Monday and Friday morning. Exercising in the water provides a fantastic, low-impact workout that builds strength, improves mobility, and supports cardiovascular health while staying gentle on your joints.
With our 25-metre outdoor pool heated to a comfortable 26°C average you can enjoy an invigorating session in the fresh air. Classes are welcoming, supportive, and open to all fitness levels.

Today we're saying a temporary farewell to our Duty Supervisor and Coach, Kirk Palmer! As many of our swimmers and families know, Kirk brings an incredible wealth of experience to Yamba Community Pool. Before joining our team, Kirk represented Australia on the world stage, winning an Olympic bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games in the 4×200m freestyle relay, holding a World Short Course record in the same event, and earning gold and silver at the World Short Course Championships.

Having an Olympian coaching our squads and overseeing pool operations has been a fantastic experience for our facility. His dedication, technique focus, and enthusiasm have inspired swimmers across all our programmes, from our junior levels through to our squad crews.

To celebrate his send-off, we put Kirk to the test this morning with a "Coach against the Crew" challenge! Our squad swimmers gave it everything they had to take on an Olympic medallist, making for a fun and memorable morning by the pool.

Thank you, Kirk, for all your outstanding work, leadership, and passion at Yamba Community Pool. We wish you all the best during your time away, and we look forward to welcoming you back!

Our amazing coach Ebonnie will be stepping in to take on Kirks squads so they won't miss a beat while he is gone (and there are still a couple of spots available so enquire today!)

A big thank you to our local State Emergency Service (SES) crew for using Yamba Community Pool for their capsize training session today. We're always glad to support our local volunteers and the essential work they do to keep our community safe.

With training wrapped up, the water is clear and ready for your laps or afternoon swim. Our 25-metre outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable 26°C average, so pop on down and jump in for some laps!
