༈ ཇི་སྐད་དུ། འཇམ་མགོན་བླ་མ་མི་ཕམ་པས། ཕན་བདེའི་ལེགས་ཚོགས་ཇི་སྙེད་འཇོ་བའི་དཔྱིད། །ཡོན་ཏན་ཀུན་གྱི་གཞིར་གྱུར་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ཉིད། །ལེགས་པར་སྟོན་པའི་སོ་སོར་ཐར་པ་གང་། །སྟོན་དང་བསྟན་པ་གཉིས་ཀར་རྒྱལ་བས་གསུངས། །དེ་ཕྱིར་དེ་ནི་ཐར་འདོད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ལམ། །ཞེས་གསུངས་པ་ལྟར་དེང་གི་ཆར་ཕན་བདེ་ལེགས་ཚོགས་མ་ལུས་པའི་འབྱུང་གནས་དུས་ངན་སྙིགས་མ་ལྔ་བདོ་བའི་དུས་དེ་ལྟ་བུར་ཡང་སྟོན་དང་བསྟན་པ་གཉིས་ཀའི་གཞི་གཅིག་པུར་གྱུར་པ་སོ་སོར་ཐར་པའི་ཉམས་ལེན་གྱི་སྙིང་པོ་ཡོངས་གྲགས་སུ་དབྱར་གནས་ཞེས་བརྗོད་པ་དེ་ཡང་ མི་དབང་ཡབ་མེས་སྲས་གསུམ་གྱི་གཙོས་པའི་སྐུ་འཁོར་ལྷན་རྒྱས་རྣམས་དང་ ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབུ་ཁྲིད་དམ་པ་ ༧སྐྱབས་རྗེ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་འཇིགས་མེད་ཆོས་གྲགས་མཆོག་དང་ བསྟན་འཛིན་གྱི་སྐྱེས་བུ་དམ་པ་གོང་ན་སུ་བཞུགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ གོས་སུ་རང་རེའི་ལྷ་སྐལ་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་དྲིན་ཅན་རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་རྣམས་སྐུ་ཚེ་ཞབས་པད་བརྟན་ཅིང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་བཞེད་དོན་རྣམས་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཏུ་འབྱུང་ནི་དང་ སྤྱིར་འཛམ་བུ་གླིང་གི་ནད་ཡམས་དམག་འཁྲུགས་མུ་གེ་སོགས་ཞི་ཐབས་ ཁྱད་པར་དུ་དཔལ་ལྡན་འབྲུག་གི་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཀྱི་དགའ་སྐྱིད་ཞི་བདེ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་འདི་འཕྲོ་མཐུད་གནས་ཐབས་དང་ དགེ་ལེགས་ཕུག་དྲན་ཤེས་ཁྲོམ་ཚོགས་གྱི་ལས་འགུལ་གྱི་ཕྱག་ལཱ་ཚུ་ དོན་སྨིན་ཅན་སྒྲུབ་ཐབས་ལུ་དམིགས་ཏེ་ རང་ཟླ་ ༦ པའི་ཚེས་ ༡༣ གྱི་ཕྱི་དྲོ་ཕྱག་ཚོད་ ༥ པའི་ཐོག་རུང་ཁང་བྱིན་རླབས་ནས་དབུ་བཙུགས་རང་ཟླ་ ༧ པའི་ཚེས་ ༣༠ ལ་ལྗོངས་རྒྱུ་བཅས་མཇུག་མ་བསྒྲིལ་བའི་རིང་དད་ཅན་སྐྱེ་བོ་རྣམས་ཐུགས་སྨོན་གནང་ཕྱིར་ཕེབས་རྒྱུའི་དགའ་བསུ་ཞུ་ལགས་སོ། །
As Jamgön Lama Mipham said:
"Like a spring that yields whatever excellent collection of benefit and happiness there may be, Moral discipline itself is the very basis of all good qualities. That which excellently teaches individual liberation (pratimoksha) Was taught by the Victorious One [the Buddha] as being both the Teacher and the Teaching itself. Therefore, this is the path for all who wish for liberation."
As stated thus, even now, in such a time as this — an age of decline marked by the five degenerations — that which has become the sole source of every kind of benefit, happiness, and excellence, the sole foundation of both the Teacher and the Teaching, namely the essence of the practice of individual liberation (pratimoksha), popularly known as Yarné (the summer rains retreat):
For the long life and firm continuance of the Druk Gyalpo — grandfather, father, and son — together with the entire royal retinue; of the supreme head of the Dharma, His Eminence the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, the incarnate lama, the Most Venerable Jigme Chödrak [the Je Khenpo]; and of all eminent holders of the teachings, whoever they may be — including our own kind root lamas who have become our destined objects of devotion — and for the spontaneous fulfillment of their sacred wishes, without effort;
And, in general, for the pacification of epidemics, warfare, famine, and the like throughout the world; and in particular, for the continued flourishing of the happiness, peace, and prosperity presently enjoyed by the glorious Kingdom of Bhutan; and for the meaningful accomplishment of the work and activities of the Gelephu Mindfulness City project.
with these aims, [the retreat] will begin with the blessing consecration of the Rungkhang at 5:00 p.m. on the 13th day of the 6th month, and will conclude with the circumambulation of the region on the 30th day of the 7th month.
