Heartfelt Gratitude and Appreciation

On 3rd September, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to everyone who has come forward, visited our sanctuary, and shown their kindness and compassion toward our rescued dogs.
We are deeply grateful to CUDIS Ticketing, Thimphu: Bhutan and its proprietor for visiting our sanctuary and making a generous contribution of 5 bags of rice, 5 cartons of dog biscuits, 10 cartons of milk, and 1 carton of eggs.

This contribution represents their monthly donation for August 2026. Through Cudis, Nu. 150 from every air ticket purchased is contributed to the Zeus Nakuku Dog Welfare Fund. These contributions are used to purchase essential food and supplies for our dogs. We are truly grateful that this initiative has continued for almost two years, providing sustained support for our sanctuary and its residents.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Chandra Bdr. Gurung, who visited the sanctuary and generously donated one bag of rice.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to Ms. Tashi Yangzom for contributing Nu. 1,000 as her monthly donation to the Zeus Nakuku Dog Welfare Fund for August 2026.

From the Paws and Waggles Group, we are grateful to Mr. C. Dorji for his generous contribution of Nu. 2,000 and Mr. Migmar for his kind donation of Nu. 150.

❤️ HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO OUR GENEROUS SUPPORTERS OF ZEUS NAKULU DOG WELFARE FUND 🐾🙏

Today, 2nd September 2026, we are deeply grateful to share another wonderful act of kindness and generosity towards our Zeus Nakulu Dog Welfare Fund.

🌸 Ma’am Jenney Oakley from New Zealand has once again generously gifted USD 3,000, equivalent to Nu. 2,83,081/-, towards the welfare of our dogs.

This is certainly not her first time supporting us. Around three to four months ago, Ma’am Jenney personally visited our Thimphu Zeus Nakulu Dog Sanctuary No. 1. After seeing our work firsthand, witnessing the care we provide to our dogs, and appreciating the transparency with which we carry out our welfare activities, she was deeply touched.

Since that visit, Ma’am Jenney has generously supported us more than five times, with each contribution being over USD 2,000. She has also shared that she will continue supporting our work whenever possible.

Her continued kindness and trust have made a meaningful difference to the lives and welfare of more than 890 dogs under our care. 🐕❤️

🙏 We are truly grateful, Ma’am Jenney, for believing in our work and standing beside these voiceless lives.

🌈 MEALS OFFERED IN LOVING MEMORY OF A BELOVED PET 🕯️🐾

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to one of our Zeus monthly supporters, who recently lost her beloved pet.

In loving memory of her cherished companion, this kind-hearted owner has sponsored three full days of meals for the dogs at both our Thimphu and Paro Zeus Nakulu Dog Sanctuaries, generously donating Nu. 74,100/- to the Zeus Nakulu Dog Welfare Fund.

In memory of her beloved pet, we will also offer butter lamps and prayers and provide special meals to the 890+ dogs under our care.

May the departed soul of her beloved companion rest in peace, and may the beautiful memories they shared remain forever in her heart. 🕯️🙏❤️

Thimphu Zeus Nakulu Dog Sanctuary 01
We would like to share that over the past few months, we have rescued more than 30 free-roaming dogs who were suffering from severe mange, scabies, and other skin-related conditions. These dogs were brought to our facility so that they could receive proper care and treatment.

Especially for these rescued dogs, we have constructed large, comfortable compartments and improved their surroundings to provide them with a safe and hygienic environment. We are also ensuring that they receive their medications regularly and are following a strict and nutritious diet. At the moment, we are additionally providing supplements to help promote healthy fur growth and improve their overall condition.

We will do our very best to help these dogs recover within the next couple of months. We are putting in our full effort and are also taking on additional expenses to give them the care, treatment, and nutrition they need to return to a healthy and normal condition.

Many of these dogs were abandoned by their owners, while most of them were previously living as free-roaming dogs. They deserve a second chance, and we are committed to providing them with the care, love, and support they need to recover and live a better life.
