You can help us help you by following these simple steps on your mobile devices. This will allow first responders to contact your loved ones.
How to Set Up Emergency Contact (Medical ID). Hereโs a step by step for Iphone and Android.
IPhone
-Open the Health App: Open the Apple Health App (pre-installed).
-Access Medical ID: Tap your profile picture in the top right, then tap Medical ID.
-Edit Information: Tap Edit (top right) to add details like conditions, allergies, and medications.
-Add Emergency Contacts: Scroll to "Emergency Contacts" and tap add emergency contact to select someone from your contacts list.
-Enable Lock Screen Access: Toggle Show When Locked to green. This is crucial for first responders.
-Enable Sharing: Toggle Share During Emergency Call to allow info to be sent to emergency services in the US/Canada.
-Tap Done
Android
-Open Settings: Go to Settings > Safety & Emergency (or search "Emergency" in settings).
-Add Medical Information: Tap Medical Info to add details like allergies, blood type, or medications.
-Add Contacts: Tap Emergency Contacts > Add Contact and select from your contact list.
-Enable Lock Screen Access: Ensure the toggle for Show when locked is turned on.
