Thank you for being our guest this summer for the Character Meet & Greets and the finale with Rose Princess.

We had a wonderful time meeting children, youth, and families as they marveled with excitement and wonder when they saw their favourite princesses and superheroes. Seeing these special moments through their eyes was truly heartwarming and reminded us of the joy these experiences bring to our community.

These heartwarming moments would not have been possible without our partnership with Harmony Square and the support of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲. Thank you for helping make this summer so memorable!

📅 Date: Wednesday, September 9
⏰ Time: 4:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Harmony Square
❤️ Dress Code: Wear red & don’t forget to rock your red shoes!

Following the flag-raising ceremony, visit our information table outside Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services. Stay for snacks, light refreshments, fun activities, and opportunities to learn more about FASD and how we can all help raise awareness.

Everyone plays a part: It takes a community to create understanding, support, and change. Together, we can make a difference.

August 20 marked the official Grand Opening of the Gihekdagye Friendship Centre, with the theme of Together We Rise, and it truly was just that.

It was a beautiful day filled with inspiring guest speakers, building tours, and an incredible show of support from the community. We had the opportunity to connect with the Executive Director Shelly Hill, who shared that the vision behind the centre was to create a place they could truly call home. Now that vision has become a reality.

This building represents more than just a physical space. It is the result of a collective effort, built on the strength, and support of many people coming together to create a space for Indigenous individuals and families right in the heart of Brantford.

We’re excited to welcome our neighbours and look forward to continuing to learn, connect, and grow together.

Congratulations Gihekdagye Friendship Centre on this exciting new chapter!

This International Youth Day, Contact Brant is celebrating youth at the heart of everything we do.

We’re proud to showcase the Youth Bill of Rights, developed by the Child and Youth Strategic Collaborative, which highlights the voices, needs, and rights of youth in our community.

International Youth Day celebrates young people’s leadership while recognizing the challenges they face around the world. This year’s theme is “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” which reminds us that despite diverse backgrounds, young people share common hopes for dignity, opportunity, and a sustainable future.

Today and every day, we remain committed to supporting and empowering youth because when young people thrive, our entire community grows stronger.
