DYK❓Just 10 minutes of interacting with animals can boost mood and help you feel more relaxed and connected. 🐿️🦜

If you heard bird calls echoing through the SE2 building earlier this week, you weren’t imagining things 👀 Thanks to Wild Education BC, we had some furry and feathered guests stop by campus.

To all our students: we hope these cute encounters gave you a chance to take a break from exams and final projects. For those who are finished with your semester, congrats! 🌟

You don't need to be in study mode 24/7. 🚫📚⏰

Sometimes, the best way to recharge is to step away. Whether you want to take a stroll along Guichon Creek, or grab a free cookie (or donuts) at Spring Thing, we're here to help!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Spring Thing! We loved seeing BCIT students from across all schools drop by the Beedie Plaza earlier this week.

More events on campus are coming soon. Be sure to check out https://www.bcitsa.ca/events/ to know what's happening.

Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Today is a great reminder to take care of our planet, but caring for the Earth doesn’t have to be limited to just one day. Small actions, even on campus can make a big difference.

Here are a few simple ways you can celebrate Earth Day at BCIT:
💧 Bring your reusable water bottle and refill at water stations around campus
📵 Try a digital detox and check out BCIT's edible gardens
(https://www.bcit.ca/files/facilities/pdf/edible_gardens_map_2023.pdf)
🌱 Remember to compost and sort your waste using campus recycling stations
🚶 Consider going car-free by walking, cycling, or taking transit to campus

Every small step adds up. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our planet.
