Today, we received a generous delivery of teddy bears for our Calgary Food Bank Birthday Hamper Program. These teddy bears were lovingly collected from Parker Well’s memorial site, dry-cleaned and donated to numerous charities throughout the city. We are incredibly grateful to Parker’s Family, Jen Oilinger and Steven Phan for helping us bring smiles, comfort, and happy memories to local children on their special day.

When families are facing food insecurity, birthday celebrations can become an unaffordable luxury. Through our Birthday Hamper Program, we help ensure children can still experience the joy of being celebrated with items such as cake mix, candles, party supplies, gifts, and special touches like teddy bears.

Calling all volunteers! 📢

We’re looking for volunteers to support our Neoma location downtown, right beside the 7th Street C‑Train station. Neoma operates like a small grocery store, where clients can shop for food with points they are allocated. Volunteers play a key role in keeping shelves stocked, helping with client check‑ins and assisting with grocery shopping 🛒

Shifts are 2.5 hours, with a variety of times available from Sunday to Saturday. We encourage and welcome commitments to one shift per week. Volunteers must be 18+.

Happy 60th Birthday Paul! 🎉🥳

Both him and his husband Doug have a heart of gold, as the pair together have raised over $820,000 for the Calgary Food Bank over the past few years!
