It’s the Canadian Mining Expo 2026 in Timmins, Ontario, from June 10–11, and Chamco is looking forward to being part of it.

We’re excited to connect with operators, engineers, and industry partners to discuss the real challenges facing mining operations today and how our pump and compressor solutions help keep equipment running reliably in demanding conditions.

We’ll also be giving away an Omega compressor at the event.

If you’re attending, visit us at Pavilion Booth P-01 to meet the team and enter the draw.

With summer around the corner, now is the time to think about how your industrial air compressor handles the heat.

Rising temperatures, poor ventilation, and neglected maintenance can quickly lead to overheating, inefficiency, and unplanned downtime.

Before your system feels the strain, there are a few key checks that can make all the difference.

Check out Sullair's blog to learn how to prepare your compressor for warmer months and keep performance steady when temperatures climb. https://loom.ly/yDvkspI

A worn pump doesn’t always mean a dead pump.

In industrial systems, vibration, noise, or reduced efficiency often trigger replacement decisions before the true condition of the equipment is fully understood.

But in many cases, there’s still life left in the pump.

Instead of defaulting to replacement, rebuilding and repairing can restore performance and extend your pump’s life at a fraction of the cost.

Chamco delivers full-service pump rebuild and repair solutions, including:

🔩 Inspection and condition assessment
🔩 Precision machining and component replacement
🔩 Full pump rebuilds and overhauls

With OEM-trained technicians and full in-house capabilities, we help extend pump life and reduce costly replacements.

Aging equipment. Limited space. Zero room for downtime.

That was the reality facing a major Alberta sawmill upgrading its compressed air system.

They needed a complete system upgrade to increase capacity, improve efficiency, and fit within existing infrastructure constraints.

Chamco was happy to rise to the challenge, delivering a fully managed, turnkey solution from design through commissioning.

Despite severe access constraints and a confined installation space, the upgrade was completed without interrupting operations.

What is the average lifespan of an air compressor?

The answer isn’t as straightforward as you might think.

While the average lifespan sits around 15 years, the real-world lifespan can range from just a few years to several decades.

So what makes the difference?

Our blog breaks down the key factors that impact compressor lifespan, and how the right decisions and care can add years to your equipment. Check it out here. https://loom.ly/1ePcqFQ

Here’s to another step toward a more efficient compressed air system at a BC sawmill!

Chamco recently completed the installation of 4 Sullair LS1108 (150 HP) compressors as part of a BC Hydro Power Smart energy study, replacing older, inefficient equipment with a more optimized compressed air system.

The new configuration includes 3 fixed speed units and a VFD compressor, now fully installed, sequenced, and operating as designed, with the VFD managing trim control to efficiently match system demand.

A solid installation by the contractors helped ensure a smooth ex*****on, and the result is a more reliable and energy-efficient system overall.

We’re excited to announce the winner of our Omega compressor giveaway at the AWWOA 51st Annual Operators Seminar.

Congratulations to Brad Burns from the Town of Claresholm!

We hope the Omega compressor proves to be a valuable tool for your reliable air supply and makes those everyday maintenance tasks a little easier.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with the Chamco team and entered the giveaway. We had a great time in Banff connecting with professionals across Alberta’s water and wastewater community.

Keeping operations safe on small sites sometimes means rethinking traditional fire protection.

Two oil & gas companies in Western Canada faced that exact challenge. Traditional fire foam systems were too large and costly for their new sites, so Chamco engineered a smarter approach.

With our FireDos mechanical, water-driven foam system, we delivered turnkey packages that are compact, cost-effective, and highly reliable, with fewer potential points of failure and full NFPA compliance.
