Good morning, TODAY is the day!

Welcome to our 21st Annual 5K By the Bay! We're excited to spend the day with our amazing community as we come together to support brain injury survivors, celebrate resilience, and raise vital funds for HBIA's free programs and services.

🕘 Registration opens at 8:45 AM

Please visit the registration tent to pick up:
🏃 Your race bib
👕 Your event t-shirt (if applicable)
🍽️ Your lunch bracelet

Lunch will be provided for all registered runners and walkers. Donations are appreciated for lunch for all others.

Today is about so much more than crossing a finish line. It's about community, connection, awareness, and ensuring that individuals living with acquired brain injury continue to have access to the free support and programs they deserve.

We're excited to welcome everyone to our 21st Annual 5K By the Bay this Saturday! Here's what you need to know:

📝 Registration opens at 8:45 AM
✅ We will have a separate check-in line for preregistered participants to make the process quick and easy.

When you arrive, please stop by registration to receive:
🏃 Your race bib
👕 Your event t-shirt
🍽️ Your lunch bracelet

⚠️ Registration closes tonight! ⚠️

Registering in advance is the best way to:
✔️ Secure your spot
✔️ Skip the longer registration line
✔️ Reserve your event t-shirt

T-shirts are available while quantities last, but if you've preregistered, we'll have your shirt set aside for you.

Our group had fun creating tie-dye shirts for our amazing race volunteers to wear on event day! 🌈
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for the time, energy, and hard work you put into making this event possible. We couldn’t do it without you.

Shout-out to HBIA’s youngest volunteers, who rolled up their sleeves and helped wash out and hang up all of the shirts.

💙 Our hearts are full after last week's Unmasking Brain Injury event.

What stood out most wasn't just the exhibit, it was the incredible way our community showed up for one another. From organizing carpools and arranging rides, our members worked together to ensure that everyone who wanted to attend had the opportunity to be there. That spirit of support, inclusion, and connection is what HBIA is all about.

A special thank you to our Board of Directors, many of whom came out to experience the exhibit. And our friends at OBIA for coming to learn more about the lived experiences of the survivors they support, and stand alongside our community.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Lincoln Museum & Cultural Centre for making the event run so smoothly and creating such a welcoming space for these important stories to be shared.

The masks on display represented courage, resilience, and personal journeys that deserve to be seen and heard. We are so proud of everyone who participated and helped make this event such a meaningful success.
