Ron and I (Joyce) are all smiles after the fundraiser numbers showed, together with friends, we raised over $60,000 to send children living in subsidized housing to Camp Dakota for a free 7 week summer camp experience filled with fun, friendship, memories, and life changing moments.
We feel so blessed… Thank you each and every one!! ❤️

Right here in our community, there are children who have never had the chance to go to camp.

Camp Dakota changes that.

❄️💙 We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful support shown at the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. ❄️💙
A heartfelt thank you to Officers Stephanie, Sean, and Jaz from the Halton Regional Police Service, along with Councillor Jeff Knoll and Councillor Marc Garant from the Town of Oakville, for coming out to support the walk. Your presence meant so much to our team, our volunteers, and the many walkers who came together to make the evening such a success.
It’s inspiring to see our community come together to support those who need it most. Partnerships like these truly make a difference, and we are so thankful to stand alongside such dedicated community leaders.

We are so grateful to our amazing community of volunteers, sponsors, and over 100 dedicated walkers who came together to support this important cause. Because of your generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment, we not only reached our goal — we exceeded it!
Your support helps make programs possible that serve children, seniors, families, and individuals experiencing hardship, and it truly makes a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Today’s the day, Oakville! 💜❄️

It’s time for the Coldest Night of the Year and we are ready to make this happen!

The weather looks great, the energy is building, and every step we take today is about something bigger than ourselves. Let’s walk with purpose. Let’s walk with compassion. Let’s walk knowing that we are helping real people in our community, seniors, families, children, single moms, and those experiencing homelessness, through Front Line programs, food distributions, and vital supports that truly change lives.

To everyone who donated, registered, shared a post, or encouraged a friend, thank you. Your support means more than you know. 💙

If you haven’t joined yet, there’s still time to come out, cheer, walk, and be part of something powerful here in Oakville. If you can’t make it today, you can still do it on your own; walking 5k close to home, if you like!
