At last! On this Ontario Public Library Week we’re DELIGHTED to meet new patrons and show off how valuable having a library card is at ALL STAGES. Whether you’re new to our community or have been here for a while.

We’re kicking off Ontario Public Library Week 2026 (OPLW) with a little something from the archives: Justin Bieber’s FIRST library card!

It comes with a cool story, too. ➡️ (Proving we were Beliebers before Beliebers existed.)

From October 18–24 we’re Getting Loud for Libraries! Because you never know where a library card might take you. ;)

🎶 Baby, baby, baby... BOOOOOOOKS!

Thanks for the loan Stratford Perth Museum Justin Bieber Ontario Library Association

Our Annual Boo Bash is gonna be a blast. Games. Crafts. Ghost Stories. Zombie Walk Stratford Takeover. And Brooke is already dressed the part. (Hope they hire her!)

Thank you for the video inspiration — her video is hilarious.

Look who came by — JUST IN TIME to help us celebrate this creepy season. And to get us in the mood for Zombie Escape Night on Friday, and Boo Bash next Wednesday.

Looks like the Skeletons of Vivian Line were dragging Destination Stratford around to have them capture the moment — those silly skeleton gangsters. (Thanks for these pics!)

🧶🪡🎨💻🧵🎁 Before you buy it… 🤔 Could you make it???

The library gang has brought their crafting GAME this season. So many awesome projects they all have on the go, as creativity and slow crafting rules when it comes to gift making.

Also doesn’t hurt the pocketbook! All of the craft projects you see here can be found on CreativeBug — available FREE with your library card. Thousands of classes, with loads of ideas.

What are you making this year? Please share with us. (We won’t give it away.)

Happy Thanksgiving long weekend! 🦃🥧🍐🍂🫶🏼🧡

The library is closed both Sunday and Monday, so we can celebrate what we’re grateful for with our loved ones. And maybe eat some turkey or cranberry sauce. Can’t wait to see the overflowing Returns bin on Tuesday — proof that you won’t stop reading!

We feel pretty grateful to all of you for using the library and for loving what we do here.

Please share with us something YOU feel grateful for 🫶🏼

(And/or answer this survey question: to brine or not to brine?)

Shhhhhh… we’re QUIETLY dancing in the library! In every style!

Grab some headphones, pick out a playlist, and get your boogie on. The library’s first fundraising event is a silent disco: After Hours in the Stacks!

No dance skills required. Enthusiasm encouraged.

Feel like glamming it up?
Wear whatever you want but we’re suggesting anything sparkly 20s era (Great Gatsby, gold, fringe, sequins, gold) — a disco in the 20s versus the 70s. (It’s the week before Halloween, after all. But no pressure to dress up.)

Take a breather at the cash bar, around the complimentary snacks, or while bidding on the silent auction.
