As June continues, we’re still celebrating Recreation and Parks Month and everything our parks, trails, and programs bring to the community.

JRPM is a reminder to take time this month to get outside, stay active, and enjoy the spaces that support our wellbeing and connection year-round 💚

Whether it’s a walk on the trail, time at your favourite park, or participating in local programs, recreation continues to play an important role in our everyday lives.

Our Lakes and Trails Festival took place this past Saturday and was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to spend the day outdoors and celebrate Father’s Day weekend with free, family-friendly fun💚

We had an amazing day by the beach, and none of it would have been possible without our incredible community partners who joined us with education booths, outdoor activities, and live performances.

A huge thank you as well to our wonderful local sponsors whose support helped make this event possible💙

Mayor Ron Vandewal and members of council attended the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the Remember Arch and Memory Wall in Harrowsmith this morning. Brenda Crawford, Chair of the Remember Arch and Memory Wall Committee, a sub-committee of the Harrowsmith Beautification Committee, worked with local businesses to create this memorial space for all those past and present who proudly serve in Canada's military.

Home Hardware donated the cement for holding the arch, and the 'Remember' arch itself was created and donated by Industrial Metalform.
