We’re happy to share that this year, we’ve delivered more than 925 kg of dry goods and non-perishable food to the Red Lake Friendship Centre.

At RFDA Thunder Bay Regional Food Distribution Association, our work goes beyond Thunder Bay. We’re here to support our member agencies and neighbouring communities when and where help is needed. Every delivery represents people coming together to help their neighbours.

A big thank you to our donors, volunteers, logistics team, and community partners who helped make this possible. We couldn’t do it without you.

If you’d like to be part of what we do, we’d love to have you join us. Reach out to us at 807-622-7440 or visit our website to learn more. www.foodbanksnorthwest.ca

We received an amazing 1,678 kg of potatoes from B&B Farms, locally grown and harvested right here in Thunder Bay!

Every year, B&B Farms continues to support us with these incredible donations, and we honestly can’t thank them enough. Donations like this make a huge difference and help us get fresh, nutritious food to people and families in our community.

Their fresh crop is now available, so if you can, please support local and shop local!

A huge thank you to B&B Farms for their continued generosity and support. We’re so grateful to have partners like you in our corner!

Our shelves are getting a little low, so we could use your help! Here are the top three items on our Wednesday Wishlist this week:

• Granola
• Pasta sauce
• Peanut butter

These everyday pantry staples go a long way when we put together food hampers for local individuals and families.

Granola makes for an easy breakfast or snack, pasta sauce helps turn a few simple ingredients into a meal, and peanut butter is a great source of protein and a versatile pantry staple.

If you're heading to the grocery store this week, consider picking up an extra jar or package for the RFDA. Every item donated helps us keep our shelves stocked and get food where it's needed most.

Thank you for always showing up for our community!

Did you know that last financial year, with the help of 300+ incredible volunteers, we were able to prepare and deliver more than 3,500 food hampers directly to people’s homes? These hampers helped support thousands of people who rely on our programs.

At the same time, the demand for food support in Thunder Bay continues to grow, and the rising cost of food is making things even more challenging.

We’re constantly looking for better ways to improve food access across NWO, while also educating, advocating, and raising awareness about the resources available in our communities.

Want to be part of this work? Give us a call today and explore how you can help.

If you have extra pumpkins to donate, please bring them to RFDA. And don’t forget to share this post with your friends and family to help us get ready for the Thanksgiving season! Thank youuuu!

As part of our mission to fight food insecurity across the region, we are continuing to work closely with First Nation communities to better understand their needs and help address the challenges they face when it comes to accessing food.

This week, our team prepared, dispatched, and delivered over 1,450 kg of essential dry goods to Keewaywin First Nations. These deliveries help ensure families have access to food and, hopefully, one less thing to worry about.

If you’d like to support our mission and help us continue this work, please visit our website or give us a call to learn more about how you can support RFDA’s food programs.

A big thank you to CAA for donating $515 and 17 kg of non-perishable food items to RFDA! This year CAA chose RFDA as the beneficiary charity for its annual CAA Travel Showcase, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.

A special shout-out to Jo Anne Levata, Store Manager, for leading this initiative and helping make this donation possible. Thank you, CAA, for your continued support of RFDA and our mission.
