我於1991年3月在多倫多成立「駐加拿大台北經濟文化代表處」，同年4月在溫哥華市設立「駐溫哥華台北經濟文化辦事處」，1992年7月在渥太華設立「駐渥太華台北經濟文化辦事處」。1993年8月我駐加拿大代表處由多倫多移駐加京渥太華市並正式對外運作，原駐渥太華辦事處裁撤，另設駐多倫多辦事處。

For 50 years, Taiwan Panorama has used the lens as its pen—documenting our changing landscapes, democratic journey, and social transformation into a shared collective memory.

Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung visited the exhibition at Huashan 1914 Creative Park today, thanking our long-time partners for capturing Taiwan’s story through their lenses and words. These images illuminate the road we’ve walked together and the future ahead.

🇹🇼 ❤️ 🇨🇦 #跨越太平洋的15年兄弟情 | 15 Years of Brotherhood Across the Pacific!

The documentary captures the 15-year deep bond between Taiwanese mountaineer Hsu Yao-chun (Larry) and Canadian climber Patrick Lindsay. After Hsu’s tragic passing in a 2022 mountain accident, Patrick crossed the Pacific back to Taiwan, leading climbers from both Taiwan and Canada to revisit the North Face of Yushan’s East Peak. They continued along Hsu’s unfinished path and named the route “Shiu be here,” ensuring his name lives on forever on the mountain he loved. 🧗

⛰️ This is more than a climb—it’s a promise that transcends nationality and life itself, and a powerful inheritance of Taiwan’s adventurous spirit! and —connected by mountains, bound by friendship.

紀錄片《 #重返巔峰北壁》記錄了台灣與加拿大兩位登山家長達15年的深厚情誼。2022年徐耀群因山難離世後，加拿大好友Patrick Lindsay帶著對摯友的思念，跨越太平洋重返台灣，帶領台加兩地登山者再次挑戰 #玉山東峰北壁，沿著徐耀群未完成的足跡繼續前行，並將路線命名為「Shiu be here」，讓他的名字永遠留在心愛的山壁上。

#台加情誼永續 #史葛洛第六度率團訪台 #總統親迎深化合作 | Strengthening - Partnership! Sgro’s 6th Visit 🇹🇼 🇨🇦

President Lai welcome the parliamentary delegation, led by Judy Sgro, Chair of the Canada-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group. This marks her sixth visit leading a group to Taiwan. 💖

The President expressed gratitude for Canada’s concrete actions in supporting Taiwan and upholding freedom, peace, and openness in the Indo-Pacific. Cooperation continues to expand in trade, technology, supply chains, and maritime security. Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductors and ICT, combined with Canada’s advantages in AI, energy, and critical minerals, create strong complementarity and vast opportunities.

We looks forward to the early signing and implementation of the Taiwan-Canada Trade Cooperation Framework Agreement, creating more development opportunities for industries and people on both sides.

#華沙安全論壇：「 #台灣模式」助力 #歐洲戰略自主 | Warsaw Security Forum: The Supports ’s Strategic Autonomy 🇹🇼 🇵🇱

The speech form Foreign Minister Lin:

Europe faces three major challenges: security, economy, and technology. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine exposed the risks of relying on authoritarian energy suppliers. China’s state subsidies have weaponized industrial power—what economists call “China Shock 2.0”—while the AI-driven tech transformation demands that Europe build genuine technological sovereignty and strategic autonomy.

Strategic autonomy is not isolation; it is the freedom to choose partners. Unlike the “China Model,” the “Taiwan Model” is built on shared values of democracy, freedom, human rights, and the rule of law. It pursues mutual benefit by combining Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductors, AI, and precision manufacturing to support Europe’s AI-driven reindustrialization.

Investments by in , in , and in demonstrate our commitment to jointly building industrial capacity with Europe—not hollowing it out. We are also advancing the TEEMA Technology Park in Poland to support EVs, smart cities, and AI, laying the groundwork for Taiwan’s future participation in Europe’s reconstruction of Ukraine.

Taiwan remains committed to being a truly reliable partner for Europe—turning shared values into shared interests, and working together for a future of prosperity, security, and freedom. 💪

📍 #緬省溫尼伯 寫下歷史新頁！風雨無阻熱情引爆
在緬省首府溫尼伯（Winnipeg），慶祝活動遍地開花！緬省中華文化社延續傳統舉辦了莊嚴的國慶升旗典禮，吸引逾百位僑胞參與。

更令人振奮的是，由緬省中華文化社主辦、緬省臺灣同鄉會協辦，在溫尼伯Jubilee Place Concert Hall 舉辦由「舞鈴劇場」帶來的盛大公演《生命之光》。這是當地首度有國慶文化訪問團演出。當晚超過 600 位主流人士與僑胞參與，共同感受台灣表演藝術文化之美，深度促進台加地方社群交流！✨

TECO in Toronto is delighted to join many overseas Taiwanese compatriots at the 115th National Day Flag-Raising Ceremony! It was lively and joyful, full of patriotic enthusiasm! 🎉

Representatives from the Taiwanese Canadian community passionately sang the National Anthem together, everyone watched the national flag rise slowly and wave proudly in Canada’s beautiful sky. 🥹

President Lai also specially acknowledged overseas Taiwanese in his National Day Evening Party speech: “Through the joint efforts of Taiwanese people both at home and abroad, Taiwan has steadily stepped onto the world stage. Let’s believe in Taiwan and work hard for our nation together!” 💖💗💓💝

駐多倫多辦事處以歡欣的心情，和許多加拿大僑胞，一同參加安省僑界慶祝中華民國115年國慶升旗典禮！現場氣氛熱鬧歡慶，展現愛國的熱情！🥳

New Taipei City was especially lively tonight! President Lai Ching-te attended the "115th National Day Gala," joining local residents, overseas compatriots, and distinguished guests from around the world to celebrate the nation's birthday! 🎉

Over the past decade, thanks to the concerted efforts of Taiwanese people both at home and abroad, Taiwan has gradually risen to the center stage of the world. It has not only demonstrated irreplaceable competitiveness but also instilled confidence in global businesses, leading them to invest heavily in this land.

As long as we keep moving forward together, Taiwan's stage will only grow larger! Let's work together to transform this glory into tangible happiness in everyone's life. ✨

🐉 #多倫多大學龍舟隊 滿載台灣回憶與獎牌凱旋 | Paddlers bring home a boatload of memories – and medals from ! 🇹🇼 🇨🇦

The incredible journey of U of T’s three dragon boat teams from Taiwan!

Last month, Iron Dragons, New Dragons x University College (NDUC), and Liquid Assets – competed at the International Dragon Boat Federation’s 2026 Club Crew World Championship in , Taiwan.

All members said the people of Taiwan were incredible hosts: gracious, warm, friendly and welcoming.💓 Students and athletes from around the world felt like true champions and Olympians. Every team joined the opening ceremony parade through the streets of Hualien, cheered on by residents lining the roads. The ceremony featured music, dancers, drone shows and top Taiwanese performers. 🥳

Students said Hualien was the most place they had ever paddled – racing on stunning Liyu Lake surrounded by green mountains. The competition was exceptionally well organized, making the athletes feel appreciated as serious competitors.

All three teams reached the podium multiple times and brought home medals (collectively around 30!), but more importantly, they returned with lifelong memories. 👍👍

上個月， #多倫多大學 三支龍舟隊遠赴 #台灣花蓮，參加2026 #世界俱樂部龍舟錦標賽。

選手們表示台灣人民是 #最棒的主人：親切、熱情、友善又好客！學生以及來自世界各地的選手都感受到奧運選手般的禮遇。每支隊伍都受邀參加開幕典禮，加入花蓮街頭遊行，沿途居民夾道加油。典禮更有音樂、舞蹈、無人機表演以及台灣頂尖音樂人的精彩演出。

幾乎每位受訪學生都說， #花蓮是他們划過最美的地方😍 在被青山環繞的 #鯉魚潭 上比賽，美得像一幅畫。賽事組織專業完善，讓選手們感受到被重視的認真競爭氛圍。

三支隊伍多次登上頒獎台，捧回多面獎牌（合計約30面！）🏅，但更珍貴的是帶回了終身難忘的回憶，這就是最讚的台加交流。👍

The 2026 Double Tenth Projection Mapping Show at Taipei’s Presidential Office is officially live! ✨

Marking 10 years of light shows and 30 years of direct presidential elections, this year’s theme is "Taiwan's Democracy, the World's Heartbeat." 🇹🇼

President Lai Ching-te attended the lighting ceremony, calling on everyone to work together so the world can see Taiwan’s light of democracy, culture, and innovation.

2026 國慶總統府建築光雕展演《 #民主的台灣， #世界的心跳》正式登場！✨

今年光雕展迎來第 10 年，適逢「台灣總統直選 30 年」，特別以「民主的台灣，世界的心跳」（Democratic Taiwan: Heartbeat of the World）為主題，透過精彩的投影畫面描繪台灣的生活記憶與近半世紀的民主奮鬥歷程。🇹🇼
