Join us for the Bridgwater Canada Day 2026 event as we celebrate our 5th Year Anniversary! It’s going to be a fantastic day packed with fun for the whole family.

This year, we're planning a full day of FREE family-friendly activities at the Bridgwater Lakes Fountain:

🎉 What an unforgettable celebration! On May 10th, the Winnipeg Chinese Senior Association (WCSA) proudly celebrated our 9th Anniversary alongside a very special Mother’s Day gathering.

We were incredibly honoured to have MP Terry Duguid join the festivities. He delivered warm Mother's Day greetings and brought great news, officially announcing continued federal support for WCSA's community initiatives through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP)! 🇨🇦
The afternoon was filled with joy and community spirit:

✨ Amazing Showcases: Our talented WCSA teams lit up the stage with the Youth Dragon Dance, Tai Chi, Taiji racket, choir, and instrumental performances.

🏆 Awards Ceremony: We proudly presented awards to the talented winners of our "My Chinese New Year in Winnipeg" Writing & Photography Contests.

🎂 Celebration: We shared our 9th-anniversary birthday cake, enjoyed tea and refreshments, and handed out fantastic prizes during our lucky draw!

🌹 A Heartwarming Mother's Day Surprise: A massive and special thank you to our friends, Woodstock and Kathy. In loving memory of Don's mother, Daphne, they generously donated beautiful red roses to all our hardworking mother volunteers and performers. Your kindness brought smiles (and happy tears!) to so many faces.

Thank you to all the performers, volunteers, sponsors, and community members who made this double celebration so perfect. Here’s to many more years of building a warm and connected community together! ❤️
