Join us in wishing Marilou a very happy birthday! ❤️🎂

For the past 14 years, Marilou has led Siloam’s kitchen with dedication, creativity, and compassion. Every day, she helps ensure that approximately 1,500 nutritious meals are served to people in our community experiencing poverty and homelessness.

"My wish is that we can continue reaching more people with nutritious meals, compassion, and hope. A meal may seem simple, but it can be the first step toward helping someone believe that better days are possible." ❤️

As we celebrate Marilou today, you can help make her birthday wish come true. Every $4.33 you give provides a hot, nutritious meal and other vital supports for someone in need.

A warm cup of coffee can do more than start the day. It can spark a conversation, build connections, and remind someone they are seen and valued.

Today, we’re sending a big thank you to Canteen Canada for dropping off coffee and drinks for our community.

Coffee is a favourite at Siloam Mission and often becomes a simple but meaningful way for people to connect with one another. Alongside that, refreshing drinks are helping community members stay cool and hydrated as temperatures rise.

Thank you, Canteen of Canada, for bringing comfort and care to our community and helping create meaningful moments of connection. Your generosity makes a real difference. ❤️

❤️ The annual Quarks Shoes Cares Footwear Collection Program is back! 👟⚾

In partnership with Rieker Canada and the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club, this initiative helps collect gently worn shoes for people experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community.

For someone experiencing homelessness, walking is often their primary mode of transportation – sometimes over long distances, and always in all kinds of weather. Shoes wear out quickly, making proper footwear a constant need. A donated pair of shoes can provide comfort, dignity, and protection during difficult times.

Heading to a Winnipeg Goldeyes game this season? Bring along your gently used shoes and help support community members who need them most.

Donation bins are located at Blue Cross Park at Gates 1, 2, and 3, as well as in the main foyer next to the elevator.

Every pair donated helps us provide practical support and care to individuals navigating difficult circumstances.

Give your shoes a new life and help knock this one out of the park for our community! ❤️

A huge Thank You to everyone who has responded so generously to Amikogiba’igan, Siloam Mission’s houseware space ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful for the support through donated household items, helping make fresh starts possible for community members as they move into new homes.

Amikogiba’igan is a special space at Siloam Mission that provides gently used household essentials – like small appliances and everyday items – to people transitioning out of homelessness. Its name means “beaver dam” in Ojibwe, symbolizing wisdom, purpose, and the power of people working together to build something strong.

Turning an empty space into a home takes more than keys. It takes the everyday essentials many of us use without a second thought.

We are still collecting gently used small household appliances and other household essentials, so if you’ve been meaning to clear out items from a cupboard, storage room, or basement, this is a great opportunity to give them a second life.
