Sunday Slow Down

June has a way of speeding things up.

School events, sports, travel, yard work, and weekend plans can quickly fill every open space on the calendar. Before summer shifts into high gear, take a little time for yourself today.

Whether it's a quiet walk, sitting by the water, reading a good book, or simply enjoying some sunshine, small moments of downtime can help you feel more present and energized for the days ahead.

Movement is important, but so is recovery. Giving your body time to recharge is part of maintaining your overall health and well-being.

Slow down today. Enjoy summer tomorrow. ☀️

Follow along each week for simple tips and inspiration to help you move more, feel better, and support your overall health all summer long.

Fun Fact Friday

Back pain is one of the most common health complaints people experience, but that doesn't mean it's something you should simply accept.

While occasional soreness can happen, ongoing discomfort may be your body's way of telling you that something needs attention.

Chiropractors assess the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system to help identify factors that may be contributing to pain and movement limitations.

If back pain is affecting your daily life, consider talking to a chiropractor about your options.

Wellness Wednesday: Core Strength = Back Strength

When people think about their core, they often think about abs, but your core is much more than that. These muscles help support your spine, improve posture, and make everyday movement easier.

A strong core can:
✔️ Support your back and reduce strain
✔️ Improve posture and stability
✔️ Help prevent and manage back discomfort
✔️ Enhance balance and mobility

Looking to strengthen your core? Try simple exercises like planks, bridges, bird dogs, or gentle yoga poses. Start where you are, focus on good form, and build consistency over time.

If you're experiencing back pain or aren't sure where to begin, a chiropractor can help assess your movement patterns and recommend exercises that support your individual needs and goals.

Remember, movement doesn't have to be intense to be effective. Small steps can lead to meaningful improvements in how you feel and move.

Movement matters, and chiropractors help Manitobans move better, feel better, and stay active for life.

Move More Monday: Take It Outside ☀️

June is here, and so are longer evenings and warmer temperatures. This week, challenge yourself to take one activity you would normally do indoors and move it outside.

Take a phone call while walking, eat lunch in the park, or enjoy an evening stroll around your neighbourhood.

Movement doesn't have to be complicated to count. Every step adds up.

🚶 Challenge: Spend at least 20 minutes moving outdoors today.

Fun Fact Friday

Your jaw is one of the strongest muscles in your body for its size, but when the TMJ (temporomandibular joint/jaw joint) gets irritated, that strength can show up as jaw pain, headaches, or tension in the neck.

Because the jaw, neck, and posture all work together, small imbalances can be felt in more places than you’d expect. Chiropractors can also assess TMJ-related issues and help manage the tension and movement restrictions that may contribute to discomfort as part of a broader care approach.

Your body is connected in more ways than you think. 🦴✨

UN MESSAGE DES CHIROPRATICIENS DU CANADA

05/27/2026

Nature has a way of changing how we move.

As the weather warms up, many of us naturally spend more time outside — walking, exploring, gardening, visiting parks, or simply getting fresh air. These everyday moments often encourage more movement variety, posture changes, balance, and body awareness than we realize.

This Wellness Wednesday, take a few moments to step outside and reconnect with movement in a natural way.
