"Gunners,
On this Artillery Day, I extend my warmest greetings to all members of The Regiment, serving, retired, and our families, wherever you are.

Today we honour the proud legacy of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery: a tradition forged through professionalism, innovation, and steadfast service to Canada. From our earliest batteries to the modern, networked battlefield, Gunners have remained a decisive force, disciplined, adaptable, and ready.

I thank each of you for your commitment to excellence and for upholding our values. Your skill, teamwork, and dedication ensure that the Regiment continues to earn the trust of those we support and the nation we serve.

Let us also pause to remember those who came before us. Their sacrifice and service remain the foundation upon which we stand today.

Ubique.

David Patterson, MSM, CD
