Final day of Annual Camp and what a week it’s been. Cadets have taken on rifle shooting, air rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, fieldcraft, mountain biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, paintball, the Obstacle Course, and motor biking — to name most.

They’ve loved every minute, with achievements, challenges, and plenty of smiles along the way.

Massive thanks to all our adults for making it happen.

Day 7: County Photograph, Syllabus Testing & Commandant’s Final Parade.

Cadets completed their syllabus testing, assembled for the county photograph, and stepped off for the Commandant’s Final Parade, marking the formal close of Annual Camp.

We also recognised excellence across the county with Commandant Coins, BTEC Award, Shotgun Awards, and promotions for both cadets and adults.

1 Star Cadets have been getting hands‑on with fieldcraft, learning camouflage and concealment, setting up a basha shelter, and practising their reactions to enemy fire and fire control orders.

These core skills helped them work together to successfully defend their harbour area, showing great teamwork, focus, and enthusiasm throughout the exercise.

Our cadets did well the other day and were a credit to our county.

Day 6 of Annual Camp, was very wet but we still managed to take a look at cadets taking part in Shotgun Shooting, defending a harbour attack in One‑Star Fieldcraft, and completing First Aid at Work training.

The Commandant also presented coins to two senior cadets, recognising their effort going above and beyond.

We were also pleased to welcome 1st Battalion, Royal Anglians with some of their equipment for the cadets to look at.

Day 5 has been another cracking day at Annual Camp.

Cadets have thrown themselves into Adventurous Training, sharpened their skills on the Shooting ranges, and pushed their fieldcraft out on the training area. Loads of smiles, effort, and achievement all round.
