🏆 We’re delighted to share that Trust Housing Association has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Regeneration and Sustainability category at the Scotland Housing Awards 2026 for our transformational Manse Gardens regeneration project in Strachur, Argyll and Bute.

What was once a largely unoccupied sheltered housing development has been reimagined through a £3.6 million regeneration project, creating 16 modern, energy-efficient homes that better meet local housing needs while supporting a sustainable future for the community.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. We're incredibly proud to see the project recognised on a national stage and wish everyone shortlisted the very best at the awards.

It’s also important to note that our Allocations Policy means that whoever has the greatest need for housing is considered first, regardless where or when they apply for housing.

To ensure that as many as possible get the chance of good quality housing with Trust, we are offering customers the chance to refer a friend and receive £100 when a friend is offered and accepts a Trust property.

Double Award Success for Trust... and More Exciting Sustainability News!

Trust is celebrating a double success after being shortlisted for two prestigious Accelerate to Zero Awards 2026 Built Environment - Smarter Transformation, recognising organisations making a real difference in creating a more sustainable built environment.

Trust has been shortlisted for:

⭐ Accelerate to Zero Hero 2026
⭐ Technology Impact Award

The recognition reflects Trust's ongoing commitment to sustainability and the significant progress made over the last two years. During this time, more than £6.6 million has been invested in whole-house retrofit improvements, 536 homes have been upgraded, highly energy-efficient new homes have been delivered, and the organisation has launched its sustainability strategy,

A Greener Trust. Innovative smart heating technology has also been introduced to help customers reduce energy use, lower costs and improve comfort.

And the good news doesn't stop there.

Trust has also received confirmation that its Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund bid has been successful, securing more than £100,000 in grant funding for a project at Shulishader Beag on the Isle of Skye.

The funding will support the replacement of an oil-fired communal heating system with innovative zonal air source heat pumps, alongside solar PV panels, battery storage and on-demand hot water systems. The project will reduce reliance on fossil fuels, lower carbon emissions and help provide more stable energy costs for customers.

What makes these achievements particularly significant is Trust's commitment to a just transition. Sustainability projects are designed not only to reduce carbon emissions, but also to tackle fuel poverty, support wellbeing and strengthen communities across Scotland.

Carol took 1st place for her beautifully knitted elephant, while 🏆 Mel won 1st place for both her painted parrot and her impressive table centre display.
