**CURRIE LIBRARY TEMPORARY CLOSURE**

WED 6th May 5pm & THURSDAY 7th May 10-5pm

To support the Scottish Parliament Elections, Currie Library will be used as a polling station on Thursday 7th May 2026 and will be closed to all library services.
It is also necessary to close the library from 5pm on Wednesday 6th May to support the set up of the polling station.

The library will reopen as normal on Friday 8th May 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause during this time. Your nearest library during closure will be:

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to the closure of the children area, tomorrow Bookbug will be held in our community area. For this, we would have to ask to anyone interested in attending to please book a space, for numbers will be limited. Thanks for your understanding and apologies for the inconveniences.

Our children's, General fiction, Romance and Large print and Thriller areas are currently closed and not accessible until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Other services open nearby today are Wester Hailes and Oxgangs libraries. Public PCs, Adult non fiction and Teenage areas are are open as usual.

Diving into dystopian this month, with two exciting book!!

Our first book comes from one of the Teen Book Group's favourite authors, Josh Silver. Happy Head follows Sab into a radical treatment designed to solve the teenage unhappiness epidemic. 🌃💊

Our other book is Electric Life by Rachel Delahey. An exploration into a supposed "utopia" where everyday experiences have been erased, in favour of an immaculate, sanitised, connected environment where everything is channelled through the digital medium. 🪸⚡️

Join us on the 18th April and 9th May.
