What a wonderful Diamond wedding celebration for couple Mary and Syd Binnie, seen here with their daughter Karen, son, Ian and granddaughter, Rowan. Romance blossomed for the young couple outside the Keptie Bakery, no less! Deputy Lieutenant Debbie Porter was thrilled to offer the King's congratulations!

🎨 Step inside an artist’s world...

Tucked away just off Montrose High Street, the William Lamb Studio offers an intimate glimpse into the life and work of one of Scotland’s most respected sculptors.

The studio was designed by William Lamb himself and has been preserved much as he left it. Explore his collection of sculptures, prints and drawings, see the tools in his workroom and look inside the living room, complete with furniture made to his own designs.

Lamb found much of his inspiration in the people and places around Montrose. He also sculpted several well-known figures, including the future Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret as children.

The final public opening of the 2026 season is on Saturday 31 October, from 1.30pm to 4pm. Entry is free, so don’t miss this opportunity to discover one of Montrose’s hidden cultural gems before it closes for the season. Please check for any changes before travelling.
