Elderpark Housing Association Limited Elderpark Housing Association Limited When the Association was established in 1975, a Steering Group was set up and a development officer recruited.

In Autumn 1975 consultants were appointed to acquire and improve properties in the area. In the early 70's, Glasgow District Council had decided to proceed with wholesale purchase and demolition of many tenements in the area. This was a change of policy for the City Council and in 1975 a commissioned a survey was commissioned declaring the city's first Housing Action Area under new legislation. Unfortunately, it was too late to save some of the older tenements in the area and further demolitions continued up to 1980. The steering group ultimately became the Association first Management Committee and a new "Community Based" Housing Association was formed.

From school memories and historic photographs to our new 3D model of the building, there was plenty to discover at our first Glasgow Doors Open Days event.

Original Hills Trust School plans show that the largest classroom held an incredible 131 pupils at one time, highlighting the scale of education in Victorian Govan.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited us today. We're delighted to have welcomed so many people through our doors and to have the opportunity to chat to many lovely visitors, including our tenants and even some formal pupils.

We've also had the opportunity to showcase our fascinating 3D scale model of our historic Hills Trust Building, which has generated lots of interest from visitors.

If you haven't had a chance to visit yet, there's still time:
