Ipswich MP Jack Abbott says concerns over ESNEFT's leadership must be taken "extremely seriously" after a CQC report highlighted patient safety risks.

Lovely to be out talking to local residents with a great Ipswich Labour team last week.

We are pictured in front of probably my favourite Ipswich park, Holywells.

Which is your favourite Ipswich park and why?

Reform's proposals to axe up to 50 community staff nurses would be devastating for children and families in Ipswich and Suffolk.

Don't just take my word for it - this is what nurses and health visitors have to say 👇

Staff nurse: "We are devastated by the proposal. We feel blindsided by health managers in the council.

"We are the backbone of the health visiting service offer.

"To lose this would be detrimental to the families in Suffolk. It would leave significant gaps in the service putting babies, children, and families at risk."

---

Health visitor: "If we didn't have the staff nurses, I don't know how we would be able to cope - they're invaluable to the service.

"Families will not get the best care, it will all be compromised, and I think safeguarding will shoot up."

Oppose Reform's cuts by responding to the consultation and signing the petition - find the links in the comments 👇

One of the clearest tests of any government or council is how it treats children and families.

I was delighted to visit St Margaret’s CEVA Primary School recently, one of a number of schools in Ipswich and Suffolk which is now benefitting from our Government's free breakfast clubs.

It is clear the breakfast club is already helping children and families by offering the best possible start to the day.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the teachers, support staff and catering team whose hard work is making this new programme such a success.
