There's still plenty of time to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge! So come on and help us reach our goal!

Can you believe it, we've smashed the 5000 sign ups for the Summer Reading Challenge across Norfolk Libraries! We're halfway to our 10 thousand goal!!!!! Well done EVERYONE.

Each year we challenge children aged 4-11 to read 6 books over the summer, but this year is slightly different! This time we're asking children to set 6 reading goals - anything from reading a book by a new author, to attending a library event. Each time they complete a goal, they get a sticker to go in their welcome pack. Finish the challenge and they get a medal and a certificate. It's really that simple! This year the theme is 'Read to the Beat', and we're hosting lots of music-themed activities in our libraries. The best bit? It's all free!

Plus there's even a mini-challenge for pre-schoolers, with their own packs and stickers (no medal for them as it's too small, but you still get the certificate, so that's nice).

There's plenty of time to get involved; you've got until mid-September to finish. So why not sign up and join the fun (did we mention it's all FREE? We did, but we'll say it again).

Sign-ups for this year's Summer Reading Challenge start tomorrow!

ONE DAY TO GO UNTIL LAUNCH!

That's right people, from TOMORROW you can sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge at your local Norfolk library!

Each year we challenge children aged 4-11 to read library books over the summer. In return they get stickers. Children can set their own reading goals - like reading a book by a new author, or writing a book review! Once they've completed the challenge, they get a medal and a certificate. There's also a mini-challenge for pre-schoolers, just because we wouldn't want anyone to feel left out. We're nice like that.

Wile it launches tomorrow, you have the whole summer to sign up - plus lots of our libraries will be hosting special launch days on Saturday 18 July too. Last year over ten thousand children signed up in Norfolk - can we break 11k?!
