Today we're honouring families with LGBTQIA+ parents and carers! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We always say families can take many forms, and this is particularly the case for LGBTQIA+ households and foster carers. You deserve to be celebrated, and we want you to know you belong!

Whether it's foster care, adoption, surrogacy, co-parenting or other routes to parenthood, LGBTQIA+ families are growing across the UK.

But to this day, LGBTQIA+ foster care households still lack official government records. Representation matters, and children deserve to grow up seeing families like theirs reflected in the world around them.

LGBT+ Parents & Carers Day is a powerful reminder that sexuality and gender identity are not barriers to the world of foster care.

New school term, new set of feelings for children.
For a lot of children, September means new stationery and old friends. For children in foster care, it can also mean navigating a new school, an unfamiliar routine, or old memories of disruption resurfacing, often without the words to explain why they're finding it hard.
