arose from the desire of three families to continue enabling our children to freely explore their own ways of learning to learn, and to grow in a democratic environment connected to nature and the world around us. In our educational project "At Dacres Wood" - aimed at children in the ages of 5-11 years, children’s time for free-play, exploration, imagination, and the pursuit of their individual or

group interests is respected. We foster a culture where adults and children learn from each other, and create spaces for dialogue through meetings and open communication. Our approach is based on the values of integrity, and respect for one another as human beings, and as a community we will strive to model these values. We are based at Dacres Wood Nature Reserve in Forest Hill (London, UK) and are open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 15:00.

🌳 Come and explore the woods, the pond and a photography exhibition trail created by the children
🌳 We'll be setting up an arts & craft station for attendees to create futures from their wildest dreams! This activity is inspired by the time travelling book by Rob Hopkins "How to Fall in Love with the Future'
🌳 Medina will be offering up her incredible henna art
🌳 Pond dipping action with Rowan & Sara
🌳 Beyblade arena created by the kids - please bring your own if you have them and would like to take part!
🌳 Clothes swap, bring items to donate, and pick something new to take home for free
🌳 Drinks, snacks and bric a brac for sale by donations

🦊 Free We Grow is a 3 day per week drop off provision for unschooled/ home educated children from ages 6 to 12 years old.

🌳 Set in a beautiful nature reserve in South London, it’s a super fun and loving self-directed educational space, where children learn through play and have the freedom to choose cool things they’d like to learn about and explore!

🐞 Please join us to find out more about the project, meet the facilitators, some of the kids, explore the woods and hang out and play!
