Today marks the launch of Phone Float Throw, the latest bystander rescue campaign from the National Water Safety Forum (NWSF), of which RLSS UK is a member.

If you see someone struggling in the water, your first instinct might be to jump in, but that can put you in danger. Instead, remember:

📱 PHONE 999 for help
🌊 Tell them to FLOAT on their back
🛟 THROW rescue equipment to keep them afloat until emergency services arrive

RLSS UK is proud to support this vital message and collaborate on water safety campaigns under the brand with this network of experts in drowning prevention.

We’ve just wrapped up a fantastic Emergency First Aid course, and this one truly stood out. Hosted at the brilliant St John's Centre Old Trafford, our learners spent the day building the confidence and practical skills needed to respond effectively in real emergencies.

Saint John’s Centre is a true community hub. A welcoming space offering education sessions, advice, support, and room hire for local groups. Much of what they do is powered by dedicated staff and volunteers, and their commitment to supporting the people of Old Trafford really shone through during the training.

Across one focused day, learners:
