Do you need to weigh your baby?

West Bridgford Self-Weigh today (27th Aug) 1-3pm finish @ Abbey and Lady Bay Family Hub, NG2 5ND (same site as Abbey Road Primary School).

Please note there is only one set of scales and changing mat available to weigh. There is no onsite parking due to it being held on school ground unless you are disabled.

An opportunity to meet other parents/carers with similar experiences.
What to expect when you come to the group for the first time:
We recommend you attend at the start of the session when we welcome &
introduce everyone to the session.
Experienced staff from the NST are on hand to offer guidance, support,
useful strategies and answer questions. Each session there will be a themed
subject for group discussion.
Occasionally there will be a guest speaker and the scheduled themed group
discussion may be rearranged.
Due to the organisation of the group, please do not bring children.
This will enable you to participate in the discussions with parents and the
practitioner. We cannot offer supervision, also we need to consider the
confidentiality of other families and the health and safety for everyone in the
meeting.

No booking or diagnosis required. IMPORTANT- Due to adverse weather
conditions, over winter, the group may be cancelled at short notice.

Occasionally group dates may be rescheduled so check the latest NST Newsletter for upcoming dates.

How the session will be delivered
o Session plan – signing in.
o Welcome and introductions to the group.
o Themed information and group discussion.
o Time for parents/ carers/ NST to talk with each other.
o Time to review the handouts and resources.
The group is centred around peer support & group discussion

As your child gets ready for nursery, make sure their routine vaccinations are up to date. When children start mixing, learning and playing with more children, being fully vaccinated helps protect them from serious preventable diseases.

✅Nursery checklist:
• Visit the nursery
• Attend settling-in sessions
• Check vaccinations are up to date

Pre-school vaccinations include:
💉MMRV dose 1 at 1 year
💉MMRV dose 2 at 18 months
💉dTaP/IPV booster at 3 years 4 months

Not sure if your child is up to date? Check their Red Book or contact your GP practice to review their vaccination record.
