🌿Nature Based Solutions and Landscape Scale Action in Tayside🌿

Join Climate Ready Tayside on the 10 September for the flagship event of Nature-Based Solutions Week 2026. The event will bring together practitioners, communities, businesses, land managers, researchers and public sector partners to explore how nature-based solutions are helping to create a more climate-ready Tayside.

This free full-day event hosted at the Civic Hall, Perth will provide an opportunity to reflect on successes, share lessons learned and discuss how we can accelerate action at a landscape scale to address the climate and nature emergencies. The event also offers a chance to connect, learn and help shape the next steps for nature-based solutions across the region.

🌿 Restoring Nature, One Project at a Time 🌿

Did you know that since 2021, more than 80 nature restoration projects across Perth and Kinross have been supported through the Scottish Government's Nature Restoration Fund? From creating wildflower meadows and restoring ponds to tackling invasive species and enhancing river habitats, these projects are helping nature thrive across our communities

For 2026/2027, we are delivering funding through three targeted grant schemes, supporting projects of different scales and types:

🌱Tree Planting Grant - supporting small-scale tree planting (under 0.25 hectares) to enhance biodiversity, landscape, and public amenity
🌳Woodland Restoration Grant - supporting the improvement, restoration, and long-term management of existing native and/or ancient woodland
🐞Wider Nature Restoration Grant - supporting a broad range of habitat creation, restoration, and enhancement projects across urban and rural areas

The fund is open to individuals, private landowners, farmers and estates, community groups, charities, local organisations, and partnerships delivering projects in Perth and Kinross. For more information and application details, please visit our Nature Restoration Funding pages.
