The Learning Hub

21/10/2026

Going on placement but still need some resources from the Learning Hub? Don't forget that you can email us to request resources and collect them on the same day from 5pm-9pm.

That's right - you can pop in and use the Hub this Saturday during the undergraduate open day. Borrow books, collect resources for placement or study in our lovely space. (though it will be quite a bit noisier than usual, so you might want some headphones!)

It's Banned Books week!

Librarians have been challenged over every book on this post (as well as many more!). In some cases, these books have been banned from schools and public libraries in the UK.

Let's celebrate the books that people have tried to silence - perhaps they'll give you a new perspective on the world!

We're so proud of all of our trainees, both past and present. Which teachers have inspired you on your journey?

Our poem collection
(I'm sure that you've heard)
is filled up with poems sublime and absurd
But if you don't believe me, then say nothing more
Just pop over and see us in Building 24!

Happy Poetry Day!

Welcome to all our new undergraduates (and welcome back to our lovely returners - we've missed you!)

We're the Learning Hub - your resource centre for practical items to use in the classroom. Come and say Hello in building L24! Your campus card will let you in.

Ahoy! We be closed today to give the parrots in the hub a rest whilst we count our treasure (books of course) and get ready to set sail into semester 1!

Happy Talk Like A Pirate day! (Yes, we do have a pirate ship, a pirate puppet and *plenty* of dressing up items in the Hub!)

17/08/2026

Joining us this autumn? We can't wait to meet you! We're the Learning Hub - your dedicated resource centre at London Road campus. Find us in Building L24 and prepare to be amazed by all the resources we have to share with you.

Words can't really express how proud we are of all our students graduating today. We've loved having you here, and it has been a pleasure to help you find the resources you need for your placements.

Don't forget that if you're starting your ECT, you can still pop back and use the resources in the Hub - please fill in the ECT form to extend your membership with us.

See you soon!
