Hrossey Raptors Fun and educational talks about Birds of Prey and the art of Falconry. We are Orkney's Bird of Prey centre. All displays and sessions are weather permitting.

We have Harris Hawks, Lanner Falcons a Crested Caracara, a Barn owl, a Boobook owl a American Kestrel and our Eurasian Eagle Owl. We will be providing 2 flying demonstrations all season and offering the chance to get up close and personal with our birds in our experience sessions. Booking places is not required for displays but are a must for experience sessions. Please respect the guidelines for

social distancing. Skaill House Falconry is not included in the Skara Brae and Skaill House joint ticket. We are open

Adult £7.50
Child/Senior £6.00
Under 5's are free. Experience sessions

Demonstration times 11.30am and 1.30pm, weather permitting. There is parking available. You may use the grass verge through the gate to Skaill House. While we endeavour to fly our birds as often as we can, sometimes it's just not possible because of the weather. In these circumstances we must take into consideration the welfare of our birds. Please understand that our birds come first and we don't want them to come to any harm. The weather changes by the minute in Orkney and sometimes we have to adapt our demonstrations/experience sessions to accommodate this. Thank you for understanding. We have moved!
Skaill House Falconry No More
A lot has happened in the last few months. Amongst other things, Andrea having her hip surgery, a very busy festive season and Keith becoming a pensioner!

We have moved from Skaill House. It's been a struggle for most of last year and we have parted ways amicably.
We will now be known as Hrossey Raptors. We thought this a apt name as Hrossey is the old Norn word for Orkney. We will be a mobile business with some changes to the way we work. We will still be taking bookings for our award winning hands on experiences. Details will be on our booking page on our website when it's back up and running.

We will be, hopefully, a semi permanent feature at The Tomb of the Eagles in South Rondalsay. More details on that to follow.

We want to thank everyone who has visited in the past and look forward to meeting new and returning friends.
