Day 2 of the in-country consultations in Grenada continued with focused discussions on the draft Resource Mobilisation and Implementation Strategy (RMIS) and its role in supporting the implementation of the updated CARICOM Biodiversity Strategy.

Participants explored practical approaches to implementation based on national circumstances, the role of the CARICOM Secretariat, priority resource mobilisation needs, and opportunities to strengthen support for biodiversity action across Grenada and the wider Caribbean.

The two-day consultation concluded with discussions on key decisions, next steps, and the way forward toward Grenada’s endorsement and implementation of the updated Strategy.

The Government of Grenada officially opened a two-day in-country consultation focused on advancing the draft CARICOM Biodiversity Strategy (CBS) and its Resource Mobilisation and Implementation Strategy (RMIS).

The opening brought together Government representatives, biodiversity stakeholders, the CARICOM Secretariat, GIZ/CARIBIO and technical partners to discuss Grenada’s priorities, strengthen collaboration and help shape a practical pathway for implementing regional biodiversity goals at the national level.

On Friday, we officially wrapped up the Regional Green Cooling Training, bringing together participants from across the region to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in sustainable refrigeration and air-conditioning.

A special highlight was the unveiling of the new Regional Green Cooling Training Center sign at TAMCC, marking an important step in strengthening Grenada’s capacity for green cooling education and training.
